Bruno Mars and his inspiration

Bruno Mars has revealed how his childhood in Hawaii inspired him to open his own bar. The renowned American musician brought his idea to life with the establishment of SelvaRey, a bar located on his native archipelago at the Fairmont Orchid hotel. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Bruno shared that during his performances in Hawaii as a child, he noticed that the audience always had cocktails in their hands. At the time, the young artist didn't understand that the drinks were made with rum. As he grew older, Mars decided that his bar would exclusively serve rum-based cocktails.

According to Bruno, his establishment fulfills visitors' dreams, especially during the summer season when many fantasize about sipping piña coladas on the beach. One of the star's personal favorites is the "Hollywood Colada," made with pineapple juice, coconut milk, and rum.

Perhaps Bruno's venture into the restaurant business serves as a way to compensate for the lack of new music releases. His latest solo studio album, "24K Magic," was released in 2016. In 2021, he introduced the album "An Evening with Silk Sonic" as part of the soul duo Silk Sonic.
